For nearly 8 years, we’ve been proud to serve our community as The Color Room Glenbrook, building a loyal family of clients who value not just beautiful results, but a salon experience that feels like home. Now, as we evolve into Mountain Hair, we’re taking everything you’ve loved about us and elevating it to new heights.
At Mountain Hair, we believe great hair is about more than just style—it’s about confidence, self-expression, and care that lasts. That’s why we specialise in lived-in, low-maintenance colour created with a gentle, low-chemical colour range, perfect for clients who want stunning hair without compromise.
We’re also proud to introduce a dedicated focus on curly hair—with advanced dry-cutting techniques and Curly Girl–approved products, we celebrate every curl, wave, and coil for the natural beauty it brings.
And for the weekends, we welcome you to Mountain Hair Men—a barbering experience designed with a modern twist. Think precision cuts, sharp style, and a relaxed vibe—served with a side of whisky to make it feel just that little bit special.

Natalie Jane
Hello Beauties, I’m Natalie Jane! Many of you know me as a Master Colour Expert, after years as an award-winning Colour Educator for Wella Professionals. But my dream career really began back in 2002, when I bought my very first salon in a small coastal town on the mid north coast.
Growing up by the beach shaped me into a light-hearted, cheerful, make-it-happen kind of girl. Long summers in the salt and sun sparked what became a true passion—creating lived-in, carefree, seamless blondes. Some might even call it my obsession!
Now, nearly two decades (and a whole lot of hair transformations) later, I’m beyond excited to open a new chapter with Mountain Hair. This rebrand and renovation is all about bringing fresh energy to the salon, expanding into curls and men’s barbering, and creating a space where every client feels at home.
For me, Mountain Hair isn’t just a salon—it’s the dream, reinvented. I can’t wait for you to experience it with us.
Brooke
Brooke is the rock of Mountain Hair—the friendly face and steady hand that keeps everything running smoothly. While she’s not a hairdresser, she plays a vital role in the salon, managing both the client experience and the team behind the scenes.
From ensuring every guest feels welcome and comfortable, to running loyalty programs that reward clients with complimentary treatments and blow-dries, Brooke is always looking for ways to make your visit extra special. She’s the organiser, the cheerleader, and sometimes the boss’s voice of reason—all rolled into one.
More than just a manager, Brooke is the connection point between staff and clients. Whether it’s your first appointment or your fiftieth, chances are you’ll have a relationship with Brooke—because she makes it her mission to know every guest and make the salon feel like home.
Taylor
Taylor is a true artist at heart, always finding creative ways to help her guests reinvent their look and feel confident in their style.
Her career began at the renowned Barney Martin Hair in Surry Hills, where she gained invaluable experience in one of Sydney’s most elite salons. Bringing that Surry Hills edge to the Blue Mountains, Taylor has built a reputation for excelling in both colour and cutting—and she’s especially passionate about working with curls. From waves to coils, Taylor knows how to tame, shape, and celebrate every curl, helping her clients love their natural texture.
When she’s not in the salon, Taylor is busy “playing house” with her husband and two gorgeous little girls, filling her days with just as much joy and creativity at home as she does behind the chair.
Samantha
Samantha has been part of the salon family since the very beginning, helping to create The Color Room and now stepping into the exciting new chapter of Mountain Hair. With over 11 years in the industry, Sam is like a ray of sunshine—bringing warmth, creativity, and energy to every client she works with.
Her biggest passion lies in curly hair, a journey she began five years ago when she embraced the world of traditional dry cutting for curls. Since then, she has developed a reputation for helping her curly-haired clients feel confident, understood, and celebrated.
Sam isn’t afraid to push the boundaries, whether it’s with creative cuts, bold ideas, or long-term hair journeys. She loves to see the big picture—helping clients move from concept, through transition, to complete transformation. For Sam, nothing beats the joy of seeing her client’s face light up when they leave her chair feeling their absolute best.
Prue
Prue brings a fun, vibrant energy to the salon, ready for whatever life (and hair) throws her way. With more than 12 years in the industry, she’s the perfect balance of playful and chilled, creating an easygoing vibe that makes her clients feel right at home.
Her passion lies in balayage and all the techniques that create the effortless, lived-in blondes that Mountain Hair has become known for. But Prue’s true love? Foiling, foiling, foiling! She’s meticulous with detail and obsessed with achieving the perfect blonde, time and time again.
Of course, she’s also known for her sweet tooth—never saying no to a raspberry and white chocolate muffin. Outside the salon, you’ll find Prue enjoying coffee catch-ups with friends and being “mum” to her pigeon pair, balancing her family life with the same joy and energy she brings to her work.
Isobel
Isobel – Colour Artist & Nanoplasty Specialist
Isobel is a gentle soul who’s been honing her craft for 6 years, building real connections with her clients from the very start. Her love for foiling and colour has led to her becoming the go-to person in the salon when someone needs guidance on tone or shade—her eye for colour is sharp, and her opinions are always trusted.
Recently she’s become our resident Nanoplasty specialist using Flora Active’s Nanoplasty treatment—a formaldehyde-free system that smooths, strengthens and straightens hair using nano-sized particles, amino acids, and plant nutrients.
